About
The project started with a couple of sketches of henry being in an environment that’s seemingly closed off, dark and bland. To illuminate the idea that he’s isolated in his own mind.
Goal
Henry and his team reached out to me to inquire about making a digital piece that would capture the perfect imagery for his new single “Too close”. He showed me the song for a bit and then asked for me to paint a picture of him in a dark and enclosed space, almost like he’s been swallowed up in an abyss.
Challenge
When Henry’s team commissioned me for this piece they also tasked me to make the piece in only 3-5 days max. So I had to work efficiently if I was going to make the deadline.
During the process of the project, me and henry has discussed on multiple occasions on how we wanted to execute the actual piece. At first I settled on a more realistic approach to his face (Scroll up to the top to view the original sketch). However, he wanted the style to be more in a more cartoony style. And have it be inspired off of a Tim Burton film.

Results
We came to two final pieces and henry and his team was wildly satisfied with the finished products, especially the picture to the right. Henry was entirely happy with the results and in a couple of weeks, it became his new official cover on all streaming platforms.
