IT ALL STARTED WITH A ROUGH DRAFT

When I was given the opportunity to make something big for the Wintrust Mural Building, I instantly knew what I wanted to do. Something that can be enjoyed by all angles. The cars off of the I-90 goes both North and South. So I wanted to make something that was comprehensive from both sides of the highway.

I presented them a rough sketch of the overall experience I wanted the viewers to have. The mural represented I.C. STARS - showcasing the company’s understanding of innovation, creativity and artistic innovation.

DRAFT 1

FIRST ITERATION OF MY IDEA. ONE OF MY FAVORITE IDEAS THAT GOT REJECTED WAS REPLACING ONE OF THE CHICAGO STAR

After getting approved, the second thing to do was to make rendered versions of my original idea. Meaning understanding color pallets, lighting and overall composition.

WHILE SHOWING THEM THE DESIGN, I GAVE THEM SEPARATE FILES THAT TAKE PART OF THE WHOLE. GIVING A MORE INSIGHTFUL UNDERSTANDING OF THE CREATIVE PROCESS.

FINAL DRAFT

AFTER A LOT OF BACK AND FORTH OF WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST VISUAL EXPERIENCE, AND WE ALL FINALLY LANDED ON THE IMAGE ABOVE. A LOVELY INTEGRATION OF DIVERSE PEOPLE! ABSTRACTED FUN AS WELL AS ATTENTION GRABBING!
